Start practicing those dance moves, y'all!
We are so excited to be partnering with the Romero Family in bringing you an exciting and elegant evening filled with lights and sounds and all the beautiful trimmings we look forward to each year. Fredy and Chanit are incredible and together with their amazing team they will, once again, transform this venue into an amazing and awe inspiring experience for us all.
At NWA FORMALS, we have determined to create events for the local community of home educating families that want to experience fellowship and fun on and around the dance floor while still honoring our shared faith in The One True God, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Come on in and be a part of our NWA FORMALS community and meet people who share your love for Jesus, Fun, Food, Fellowship, Dressing Up Fancy, and DANCING with no regrets.
Founded in 2007, NWA FORMALS (formerly, NWASPRINGFORMAL) began as a small group of like-minded individuals who wanted to make a positive impact in their home education community by offering a safe place to experience something similar to a high school prom/banquet without the cultural stresses often found in our public school communities. Since then, we have hosted over 15 events.
We hosted our first NWAFALLFORMAL in November 2023 and it was a great success. NWASPRINGFORMAL- 2025 is April 25th.
A big welcome to all the new guests that will be 14 by April 25th.
We look forward to seeing you and your friends this year.
Remember: This is an intergenerational event so be sure to register for all students 14+ and moms, dads, and grandparents, too.
Kyle brings a certain energy to our events that is difficult to describe with words. Kyle is an extremely Professional, Personal, Passionate, Party Person... How's that for alliteration?
He is also a fabulous, fun and fantastic father to sweet Naomi and a handsome, hilarious, hope-filled happy husband to the beautiful Jennifer Matthews,
Kyle is an entertainer through and through and he brings fun and excitement to any dance floor. He has a gift in being able to read a room and keep the rhythm of the event on point all night.
We are so thankful that Kyle will JUMP IN with us again this year!
"DJing is the most ecstatic part of my everyday life. I get to put myself at the center of musical energy for hours at a time. Since my first gig in 2010, I've done dozens of weddings, parties, and corporate events and I love the next one just as much as my first."
We do not want to turn anyone away due to a dress code violation. However, we
reserve the right to do so and we will. Please send questions to our Formal Committee.
Additional Information/Clarification - Sides of Dress
The Dress Code states that the sides of the gown must extend under your arms when your arms are at your sides. Please understand that we are looking for coverage, therefore, we may allow ahalf-way point under your arm, IF everything is appropriately covered.
Please Note:
Anyone inside formal who is not following the dress code will be required to leave immediately.
There will be no refunds for students who are removed due to dress code violations. Do your
part and remain in dress code all evening.
No Hemlines Will Be Altered at Formal
Due to time/space constraints, no hemlines will be altered at prom. If your dress is too short you will not be able to enter prom until you are within dress code, and no one will be able to help you.
In the Unlikely Event
If a member of the Formal Committee asks you to step out of the check-in line, they will explain their concerns to you. It is possible that you will be pulled from the line and after closer consideration, no fix will actually be necessary. If a fix is required, and you want to stay at formal, you have two options:
Strapless dresses, every dress needs at least one strap over the shoulder
Please be aware that we have more than one dress check throughout the evening.
Our Formal Committee, as well as other chaperones, will be looking for dress code violations as the event continues throughout the evening. You may be asked to follow a team member to the "fixit" area near check in table for adjustments to your attire.
We do understand and find it reasonable that sometimes jackets or wraps may come off when the dancing starts, but ladies must stay within guidelines once jacket or wrap is removed.
Dance barefoot at your own risk!!! Some of these ladies will be wearing heels that make a point. If you choose to do so, you should make note of the location of the First Aid area at the registration table.

NWA SPRING FORMAL will be even better!!!
Because we have a very active event with lots of dancing, lots of games, and lots of fun, our Senior student Team advises that all first time formal attendees need to realize that you will want to be comfortable instead of having to adjust your clothing all evening (check out all dress code
suggestions). You may also want to consider selecting an outfit that is not too tight or
constraining. We want you to be handsome, as well as comfortable, while having the time of
your life! Seriously men, it is well worth the effort to be the guy that dresses to meet the code and frame the ladies with your best selves. And, it makes for great photos!!!
